Nicole Maamari Barghoud

Nicole Maamari Barghoud is Senior Director of Development at LAU, where she has led major fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and capital campaigns for more than 18 years.
With over two decades of experience spanning higher education, fundraising, sales, marketing, and hospitality, Nicole brings a unique blend of advancement expertise and business acumen. Prior to joining LAU, Nicole held senior roles in the private sector, including leadership positions in sales management and corporate communications, where she honed her skills in client relations, strategic planning, and organizational growth. She also contributed to translating a ten-year institutional vision into a comprehensive development effort and successfully directed its implementation. Nicole holds both a BA and an MA in International Affairs from LAU. Fluent in four languages, she has received multiple awards for excellence and has served on several management committees, including programs in partnership with ESCWA and UNICEF. Passionate about lifelong learning, community building, and creating opportunities for others to thrive, Nicole is committed to inspiring philanthropic engagement that strengthens higher education and shapes a better future through education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new cultures, and taking on challenging workouts.
