Executive Assistant to the Vice President - New York
Jacquelyn DiMitri serves as Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Advancement at LAU in New York. In this position, she strengthens collaboration among global teams and supports the Office of Advancement’s priorities. Jacquelyn’s career blends executive support with academic leadership, which has been enriched by her international experience. While based in Doha, Qatar, she founded and directed the Photography Department at the Community College of Qatar—the institution’s first such program—where she developed the curriculum, taught Introduction to Digital Photography, and coordinated large-scale student exhibitions while balancing creative practice with careful attention to institutional guidelines. Earlier in her career, she taught academic writing and public speaking to international students, helping them gain confidence while working in their second language. She holds an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), an M.F.A. in Photography, and a B.A. in English and American Literature. Jacquelyn values experiencing new cultures, creative thinking, meaningful communication, and a commitment to building genuine connections across diverse communities.
