Following the recent ceasefire, Lebanon is navigating a fragile recovery, offering hope amid immense challenges. Education is at the heart of this recovery: the cornerstone of Lebanon’s enduring legacy to the world. To rebuild and heal, we must ensure that education remains strong and accessible to Lebanon’s youth.

Our students, resilient and driven by dreams of a brighter future, are persevering through extraordinary adversity. Many struggle to afford even basic necessities, yet their determination to continue their education and contribute to Lebanon’s renewal remains unwavering.

This semester, LAU has provided financial aid to over 5,000 students (65% of our students), covering an average of 60% of tuition. However, due to the war, nearly 1,000 students already receiving aid now urgently need additional support to stay enrolled.

In addition, LAU has incurred rising operational costs to sustain flexible learning options, ensuring no student is left behind. While critical to our mission, these efforts have led to a significant budget shortfall.
